1. Approval of Election Schedule for 2024-25
Chairman Hammad Aslam consulted with all members regarding the schedule for the upcoming APFMA elections for 2024-25, and after thorough discussion, the schedule was officially approved.
2. FPCCI & Furniture Committees
The chairman updated members on the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) and the role of furniture committees. He emphasized the importance of working proactively on these committees to promote and strengthen the industry.
3. Visit of Chinese Consul General
A major highlight of the meeting was the announcement of the Chinese Consul General’s upcoming visit to Gujrat. APFMA plans to hold discussions with him, particularly regarding visa facilitation for furniture industry professionals. Members highly appreciated this initiative.
4. Approval of Annual Magazine
Members also discussed and approved the launch of APFMA’s Annual Magazine. Various suggestions and ideas were shared to make it more informative and beneficial for the industry.
5. Furniture Technical Institute Discussion
A detailed discussion took place regarding the establishment of a Furniture Technical Institute, where Chairman Hammad Aslam provided a comprehensive briefing. Former Chairman Ali Ansar Ghumman delivered an excellent presentation on the institute's significance and objectives, which was highly praised by all members.
